Before we start you may find that the download speed of some of the images may be slow depending on what time of the day it is, remember that here in the UK, any time after 6pm GMT and again at weekends are busy, due to the telephone charges (not with Telewest/Cableinet's surfunlimited and now Blueyonder HSI well done guys), that lead to the huge profits made by BT, thank goodness for cable, which in turn stop us surfers in the UK using the net outside of these times (not anymore) (I switched to cable, due to BT's higher charges). I have made the pics smaller to help download times and used as many graphics over again on each page especially the Cat Pages (and dont forget you can follow the cats lives on a when I get time basis in Mollys Journal) so this again will help with download time. Please be patient, stay with us and enjoy our pages.

The Family
Welcome to our web page, which we first produced back in 1997, during this time I hope, I have introduced you to my family, my cats and my Garden, I know I have made some good friends over the last few years with these pages, and all because of a computer. For those of you who are just looking for the first time. My name is Kevin Sykes I am 44 years old now and married to Pauline (age not given) and have two children Brian 18 years and Annmarie 21 years. We live in Blackpool, England my interests are Gardening, Computers, my cats, Golf (now non playing due to Arthritis) a bottle of good red wine, a can of English Cider or two, lots of fun and last but not least my Family and the Grandchildren.
One of my main interests is gardening and I must confess I spend a lot of time in the garden with Pauline who thank goodness likes the same hobbies. My garden plot is based on a cottage garden look, with a small area for my Bonsai Trees, set in an area about 40 feet by 25 feet and as you can see from the initial picture's it was a mess that needed sorting.

This is the back garden facing South and which has the sun all day and gets very very hot during a good summer.

Above is the front garden facing North and which unlike the back does not get any sun, well except for early morning and late afternoon.

This is the drive way and no the wrecks are not mine.


As you can see from the above photos a lot of work was to follow. I hope to show you with the help of our few pages, how our little bit of paradise became a reality and was BBC Web Site Garden Gallery, garden of the month for July 99 (see the link page for a link to their site).
I have produced a page of links to other sites you may want to look at (if you have a site and want a link give us an email with the url), I would also like to thank Paul Lutus and his little program (which is CareWare and costs nothing except a bit of love and understanding) Arachnophilia (see the links page for the download sites, for this, and other useful utilities, go on give it a try), which helped me produce my first Web Page, also Blueyonder Cable HSI (try it for a good service, and with some cool things happening during the coming month's it should just get better). I would especially like to thank Steve (now left), Glenn (now left) and Nigel (now left), all from (Cyberscape at St Annes) for all the help. Now that the year 2002 as come to an end, and what a busy year it was for my family and I. My daughter who is married to a great chap called Andy gave us our first Grandchild James Andrew. My son is living with his Partner Rachel gave us our second grandchild Abergail, also Kyle and Tanya who are our kind of step granchildren, we love them all.(so as can be seen, the last couple of years were very busy yet again thank god the garden is well established so away it went. It is hoped that during the year 2003 I can try and build on the site adding pages about my Grandchildren, I have made updates on the Cat pages and with more links on both subjects to follow over the months to come, things can only get better.
